I was looking to help my stock reverse lights in dark locations or bad weather, so I installed a pair of the Baja Designs S2 Pro Work/Scene lights on the back of my Rav4. I'm hoping I can someday find a 2dr rav4 and then strip stuff from my 4dr such as power mirrors, power windows, dashboard air vents, etc and transfer them over. If you guys are wondering why my car is so dirty, it's because it died a year ago and I love it too much to let go. However, over time, closing the door will become a bit easier. This is because the brackets (especially the screws) are pushing the door out a bit. I used the screws that came with the Jeep brackets.Īfter you finish installation, you will find that closing your doors will require a bit more force to close it tight. Depending one your light-bar style (straight or curved) and length, you'll just have to see what location on the A-pillar works best for you when you're ready to drill and screw them in. You will need to drill a total of 6 holes into your car's A-pillars to attach the brackets. And comes with some type of rubber or neoporene-ish gasket things that goes between your mounts and your A-pillars.įrom the bottom of the A-pillar to the bottom of the bracket measures exactly 17.25 inches. Same paint finish, same bends and same number of mounting hole. Maybe you can go a bit longer or shorter but I'm not sure how will that will fit with these jeep mounts. Also, you will need a 41-ish inch light-bar. I bought the mounts a long time ago and it no longer shows up in my eBay purchase history so I am not 100% sure which one you need to buy.but I think it is the one made for jeeps for 50" light bars. If I had bought a curved light bar I could probably install the brackets lower or higher on my car's windshield and still have a small gap between the light-bar and the windshield. The middle of my light-bar touches my windshield but, it's nothing I'm too worried about. Since mine is straight, the placement of my brackets was limited. My light-bar is 41 inches long and unfortunately, I bought a straight light-bar instead of a curved light-bar. It matches my car because I used bedliner paint to paint my car.rattle can style lol. They were made for Jeeps and the paint finish is similar to bedliner paint. The brackets I bought were cheap $15 dollar ones off of eBay. Installation of the light bar bracket was not hard.
